Soramame leaves the countryside for Tokyo in pursuit of a childhood friend and fiancé, but instead meets a scrappy young musician, Oto. By some odd circumstance, the two end up living under the same roof. Influenced by Oto, Soramame awakens to the world of fashion while Soramame becomes Oto’s muse, reviving his forsaken dream of becoming a musician. Mia Nejiki is a supermarket worker with low self-esteem, having been brought up by toxic parents. She believes that she has no redeeming qualities. After the death of her father, who constantly denied her and was violent towards her, she continues to live with her mother who is a strong suppressor.
Mia falls in love with a manager who affirms her for the first time and is kind to her, and then they fall into an affair. However, when his wife's illness worsens, he asks Mia to break up...
